9 months

At NINE months Ella is now sitting independently (for the most part), rolls in both directions, is good at getting toys that are just out of her reach, is becoming more opinionated, and eats solids like crackers, puffs, and dried yogurt. She is still a very happy baby and loves to jump and also loves her pets. She giggles when she sees them. She now also extends her arms out to be picked up. Her favorite food is bananas. She has been spitting less and drooling and chewing on things more. Her hair is coming in thick and very curly except on the back and sides where she is still mainly bald, although now she sleeps on her stomach so it may not be long before she gets it in the back. She is now wearing size 3-6 month and actually fitting in them. Still very small hands and feet. I may need to go to baby gap one of these days and get some more socks to get through the winter. So far they have proven the best at actually fitting and staying on those little feet of hers.

Sitting!

As of today I am going to consider Ell oficially a "sitter".

First Cracker

About a week ago I decided to give Ell a grahm cracker. She did awsome with it! So of course now she insists on things like crackers, puffs, and cheeto-looking things as nearly her entire diet. Great!

Really Mom... Really?

8 months old

It's true my baby is growing up! At 8 months old she can roll from her stomach to back, her coordination has greatly improved she puts EVERYTHING in her mouth, occasionally she can even sit unassisted for a few seconds before toppling over! Ella loves her pets. Sophie (one of our doggies) is her best friend, it is amazing how much they love each other! She is also eating quite a bit of solid food at this point and is becoming disinterested in the bottle. I have a feeling this is going to lead to a plateau in her weight gain. She is around 14 pounds and today I switched her entire wardrobe over from 0-3 months to 3-6. They will be a little bit big on her, but not too bad.

It must be hard being this beautiful!
