That is right 1510 grams! 3 pounds 5 ounces. My princess will now start wearing clothes and her isolette will be turned off. She is doing great!

I was trying to kill some time in the last hour of my shift and just happened to go visit the adoptive families circle website. I'm glad I did the pic of the day...

One week from today

In one week from today I get to kiss the most precious face on the planet. She is still doing fabulous. She is 3 pounds 4 ounces. They have changed her feedings now. The same amount goes in over two hours instead of three. This is in preperation for bottle feeding. I also forgot to mention that they took her off oxygen 2 days ago.

Helpful or tacky?

It is no secret that Ella's immune system is likely to be under-developed and well sucky, but I still want to try to lead a fairly normal although low-key life at least until fall. What is the thoughts on these little signs (they clip to your car seat)? Are they tacky or a kind reminder. And has anyone had problems with strangers touching their baby? That might require and ER visit for Mom.

My baby is awesome. 3 pounds 3 ounces. I can never remember in grams, but it was right around 1460 grams. At 1500 grams she will be wearing clothes, and at 1800 she will move out of the isolette to an open crib. Her nurses say that she is getting huge and changing fast. It will be so fun to see the pictures that were taken while I was gone. I hope they turn out okay. The lighting in the NICU is hard to deal with.
This is hard. The waiting is hard. It's hard to know that other people know my baby far better than me, and that I don't know what she looks like anymore. I'm sure I could pick her out of a line up (easy pick the cutest!) but to not be able to picture my baby anymore is getting tough.

July!

I made it. It is July, the magical month I get to return to my princess. She is doing fabulous. Tonight she is 2 pounds 14.2 ounces meaning it is likely tomorow she will likely be 3 pounds! Can't wait to see my little chunky runt!
